Hello,
I'm trying to create a new railing. I have already designed all the necessary profiles, posts etc. and the model of the railing has been modified as I wished.
However, I would like to add a new parameter to the railing type properties, for example the name of the manufacturer.
Does anyone have any idea how to do that?
Thank you in advance!

There is a built/in parameter "Manufacturer". You can find it under Identity Data, Type properties.

Thanks for your reply.
There is any way to add more parameters to railing's type properties?
For other components, I could do this using "Edit Family", but what about railing family?
Railings, as opposed to editable families, are system families and locked down with respect to what you can add / modify using the programs interface.
This said, It is possible to add parameters using the application program interface (or API). Here is a discussion from the Revit API forum. https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit-api-forum/adding-shared-parameters-to-system-family/td-p/675739...
Not all system families can have parameters "bound" to them. Examples that work are Levels and Walls. I don't know if Railings are. You could post your question to the API forum for more help.

You can create project parameters. Go to Manage/Project Parameters and assign a new project parameter to the category Railings.
