Hi

Im having trouble exporting sheets as dwg. In the exported dwg file, the layout views appear empty. In model space the content is scattered around randomly. Please see the screenshots. What am i doing wrong? How can i get a good export of the sheet lay out?

Hello from Spain

How did you have done the set up for exporting to DWG?

Check the units exporting from revit and importing in AutoCAD, it could be an issue with view extens in AutoCAD.

Are you exporting the revit views as external references?, if so, try to repeat the export but disabling the exteranl reference option.

Thanks for your reply!

Yes, i am aware of the checkmark 'export as external reference'. Bu that's not it. See shots:

Any other ideas?

TIA

Hello

Try to load export layers for text file that I have attached. Maybe it will help. You can also send dwg file here so that other can check if your AutoCAD works well or not.

I have found some similar issue. Maybe it has something to do with it, maybe not ???

When i have a view on a Revit sheet, and when i rotate that view by 'Rotation on sheet' to 90 degrees for example. Then the view jumps away a long distance somehow... Seems like the rotation point is awkwardly off centre.

Somehow this 'jumping away' seems similar to the model space of the exported dwg file... Could this be related or do you think not?

DWG seems to be OK, units are set to mm and so on. The next step is to attach rvt-file to check export result from other PC and Revit.

Close all programs in your pc (autocad and revit)

Install a tool like ccleaner and clean your temp FILES

OR

You can do going to your pc and type %TEMP% and delete all files

Open the Revit file.

Select all the view from the sheet  and activate Crop View and Annotation Crop.

Export the sheet but change  the file name and save in small path like C:\newfolder\

@rimacoca I have the same export result with @jnoordzij file on my computer. I suspect that troubles can be caused by size of the file. Can not figure out why it is almost 1GB. I think this is the case that Autodesk Support could take a look at.
