Trim wall top with ref plane

Hello,

How can I trim the highlighted part without extending the wall above (I need the top level to stay same). This situation happens couple hundred times in the plan so manually draw the outline of the wall is not an option.

Are they typically the same in dimension and properties or there is a little difference in each walls?

The building is slanted as going up, the ref plane represents the outer shell. It is high rise. So yes, every room and floor is smaller and smaller, so it is not typical unfortunately.

Create an in-place void extrusion and multi-cut the walls.  Or create a roof/floor and attach the walls to, then hide it.

If there are some typical walls you can group and match properties to other typical walls to save some times.

Sorry guys, non of this is a workable solution. Too many level, multiple elevation with different angles, too many walls. This is just something not existing in Revit.

Just because one approach (reference plane) doesn't work and you are throwing the towel? I have seen complicated building with multifaceted exterior skin and the interior walls can be trimmed to match just fine.

What I would do is create a void negative to the building form, meaning the building would fit perfectly inside the void. The void can be a composition of multiple voids since you said the elevation is complicated. Use the void to trim the all interior walls intersecting it.

Dont give up yet.

BIM is not only revit or whatever other app, BIM is a methodology and a bunch of different apps can get involved in the same project. In the universe there are a lot of things beyond Revit.

Maybe this issue can be "easily" solved with other program.

I think it could be possible build a solid object with the exact geometry that you need for cutting your walls, if it is not possible with Revit, try other app, maybe more suitable for modelling (I'm thinking for example in Rhino, 3D Max, Blender... ).

If you can model it, in any of theese apps, then I'm sure that you can export it to Revit and create a void mass with this geometry like @ToanDN suggest you to perform a boolean substracion.
