Transparent walls in my model

In 3D view the walls look semi transparent for some reason, which in turn seems almost wireframe. Transparency is set to 0, there's no filters, I've checked phases and I'm looking at it in shaded / realistic. Not sure how to get my opaque walls back and I can't undo
Any help would be much appreciated

The view could be corrupted. Delete it and create a new one.

Just as a test - try swapping out these walls with the different type.

Don't waste your time trying to fix it. Just delete the View and create a new one from the 3D view button.

HI!

Did you try to open this file on another machine? It can be hardware problem.
Take a look at this article.

Also you can provide us a piece of the model, it would be a lot more easier than keep making guesses.

From the looks of the image, this is going to be the fastest and easiest (and probably only) solution. Default 3d views sometimes do this. Just delete and create a new one. It is a default view anyhow so no real loss.

Is there a CADD file inserted in your project?

If so go to 3D view and hide the CADD file. Your walls will go solid.

I have this same problem and I've tried all suggestions I could find online. I've deleted the view and made a new one, I've checked phases and their overrides, I tried changing walls materials (the ones that were "air" even though they weren't the exterior material), I´ve checked VG options, display options, turning off dwgs..

This is only happening on the default 3D view. Not a must but really annoying. Any suggestions on more things to try?

Try to right click on the wall. Override graphics in view. Make sure that the object's transparency is set to 0.

Has the wall material (e.g. concrete - C35) been set with a transparency under the material 'Graphics' tab?

Sometimes it could a graphics card problem, however, try to check material transparency or create the wall and the view again in new project.

I was having a similar issues with the walls showing transparent in the elevations, even though they weren't  set to transparent, wireframe, or with any overrides. This transparent wall display was randomly happening in some views and not others. As recommend in this forum, after I hid the CAD plan that was referenced in, perpendicular to the view, the walls revert to the normal display settings.

agree. it seems to happen very often when the model is too heavy.

This answer should be marked as the truly correct one.

This is a condition/bug of Revit when you have imported CAD inside your view. I have tried uncoountable ways to solve it by changing parameters, but only hiding solve the transparent walls issue.

Hi @Anonymous

Deleting and recreating the 3d view will resolve
But if you don't want to lose your eyesight, check your view properties, the "Eye Elevation" and "Target elevation", if the numbers are large, change them and then rotate.

Or click on the viewing cube and then rotate

Yes, thanks @Anonymous

In the affected view(s) hit VV --> Imported Categories tab --> uncheck any CAD imports

I couldn't fix my transparent walls with the solutions offered so I created a new wall from scratch. Then I selected all instances of the problematic wall type in the project and changed to the new wall. I really hope this helps someone struggling with the same issue.
