Transparency in area plan

I am creating a room area plan with a color scheme driven by a Room Occupancy parameter. Basically, what I would like to see is 10% room utilization showing up as the lightest color and 100% room utilization showing up as the darkest - and not by manually changing the color, but by linking the color intensity with the shared parameter. Which means that the higher the room utilization value, the darker the color will be.

Also - is there a way to link the shared parameter with the values in an Excel file?

My sample is attached....

Display control solved - created filters to change the transparency of the room fill colors to the required percentage.

This is not Solved! The transparency is shown but is not printing.

Tested in Revit 2017 - Revit 2020.

It prints just fine if you use Raster instead of Vector in the Hidden Line Views Print Setup. Also, no need for a Filter, you can change the transparency of Rooms in the Model tab of Visibility/Graphics Overrides.

Areas and Rooms are not the same. Areas do not have the option to override Transparency in the VG Model tab.
