Hi,

I think there might be an option to auto adjust the elevation spots when you import a CAD file.

Not sure I understand the question fully but if you are talking the depth of the elevation there are properties for that.  The View Depth controls the depth or how far the view can see, if the value for Far Clipping is set to No Clip then this value is greyed out, and you will also not get the shape handle to adjust it in plan.

Revit will not automatically adjust the range/extents of an elevation based on new information given in the View.

The Simplest way to achieve this is to select one of the Elevation Arrows > Right Click > Select All instances Visible in View

From the Properties Palette > Select view from the Drop down List > Far Clipping > Select No Clip

You could create grid lines and place Framing Elevations.  When you move a grid line, the elevation line moved with it (except for the symbol that you need to move manually).
