Titleblock Masking Region

Do masking regions not work in Titleblocks? Or what is the intended design for masking regions in Titleblocks? I have a masking region around the perimeter of my Titleblock in an attempt to hide those pesky level/grid lines that won't crop as I would like.

I think instead of using a masking region in a titleblock you should address the issue with your levels and grids....Why are you not able to clean those up. There should really be no reason for a masking region on a titleblock.

I don't know, I've always had the issue where level/grid lines extend far beyond my crop lines. You can see in the picture I attached my crop line is on the boundary of my Titleblock but the level lines are still extending beyond.

You shouldn’t need a masking region for that. Did u try to reduce the annotation crop on the related view to the minimum? Are the datum set to 3D or 2D extents. The latter is recommended if you wish to adjust them per view

Yes, as you can see the annotation crop is as close as it will allow.

To me this is just a typical drafting exercise. Levels and Grids always have an offset from the crop region when set to "3D" Extents. If you need to bring them in farther you will need to adjust the grid / levels by changing to "2D" Extents and just drag the ends to where you want them.

That's what it was thank you.. I kept trying to move the ends but it would move the end in the other views. Needed to change them to 2d. The simple things I always try and over think.

The issue of having masking regions behave consistently between families, projects, and vector printing has not been resolved, or has it?

It appears not...We have a pesky issue where the AHJ requires a 3"x4" box reserved at the center-top of the sheet for their electronic document stamp. I'd like to add a masking region to the title block family to automatically mask out this portion of the sheet, but it doesn't appear to mask content in views placed on the sheet. I tried adding a nested Generic Annotation family as well, but no dice...

Don't use a masking region, but a filled region with Solid White Color.

Doesnt seem like that works with masking grid lines. Is there a way to mask over grid lines without having to adjust the grid lines themselves?
