Temporary view template changes when syncing

When I have multiple windows open with different temporary view templates applied, and then I sync, all of the windows set themselves to 1 temporary view template.

For example, I'll have three views open. I'll temporarily apply TempViewTemplate001 to one, TempViewTemplate002 to another, and TempViewTemplate003 to the third. Then I'll sync. Then all three views will suddenly have TempViewTemplate003.

Not the end of the world, but a bit jarring, especially when I forget that this happens and I spend a few minutes wondering where things went.

Is this a glitch? Or something wrong with my settings? Corrected in a later update?

Are these views dependent or parent views?

No they're independent, no dependent views.
I think I've only seen it happen on section and 3D views. Not to say that
it doesn't happen on other types.

I have the same issue in Revit 2022. Is there already a solution for this?

Do these sections have view templates assigned automatically upon creation?

the fact that this still hasn't been fixed yet in 2024 shows that autodesk does not care at all

I have the same issue and it is incredibly frustrating.  I sync and everything goes wild with the temporary view properties setting.

Really? I don't think so.

I've been seeing this for years.
I don't use Temporary View Templates, but I regularly use Temporary View Properties. If I EVER use a Temporary View Template, it's automatically added to the Recent Templates list. If I sync with Temporary View Properties applied, Revit will apply one of those Recent Templates. Then, I need to restore the view properties, and redo all of my temporary settings.

This is a bug they have never dealt with. I think ten years is enough, Autodesk. Fix this, already!

Applying temporary view settings should be something easy. If they get messed up, just reapply. The complaints here seem to be exaggerated and would be beneficial in the IDEAS forum as that is where Autodesk is listening.

This is not a feature request. This is a big. I doubt Autodesk intended for this behavior to happen.

Don't you think it would be a good IDEA to fix it?

Call it what you want but Autodesk is more likely to address it if you post it in the IDEAS forum.

No exaggeration, at all. This has been consistent behavior since I started using Temporary View Properties over ten years ago.

It's an old bug that Autodesk has never addressed. Something as simple as a "Clear Recent Templates" option would at least put a band-aid on it.

That sounds like a really good IDEA!
