Because certain Consultants have an earlier 2020 REVIT, and some the later 2021 REVIT, our Office has had to have both REVIT 2020 & REVIT 2021 active on our computers.
90% of my work is on REVIT 2021, so, I usually have the 2021 open, ready for use..
My mistake was clicking too fast and accidentally opening a 2020 file with the 2021 version.
Once I realized my error, I closed REVIT, without a save and relinguishing all owner ship, etc.
But now, I can't open the file in 2020 because it says it had been saved to the 2021 format.
HELP ! Is there any way to change the file to the older format ?

Normally it is set that the file keeps 5 (or so) of the latest backup copies. So restore one of those with the older Revit version. Google for how to do that (it isn't just opening the file)
