Hi, I have created a filter for my slab edges when description = value. when I apply the filter to my section view, I cant select anything cut ie lines or patterns. Only projection Surface. is this normal behaviour? I would like to create different line styles for different slab edges based on the value in the description field using a filter. is this possible?
I just went through the filter setup process and got the same results. It appears we can only change the Cut Line and Pattern at the V/G Override Model Category level. Based on what I can see of our ability to control, what you are looking to do is not achievable, without doing it manually using the Linework tool.
I just ran into this same limitation. Depending on the application, a possible workaround is to make the filter multi-category by pairing the slab edge with at least one other 3d category (I included the floors category) and then the cut lines/patterns can be overriden.
