Sweep position is outside of its wall

Hello. I am getting a constant message when trying to place a sweep on a wall when editing that wall. It says it is outside of the wall when in section we can see it is not. Please see screencast.

Help much appreciated.

Maybe the sweep is out of the wall, as the error message says. It is difficult to determine that by just watching this brief video.

We can't tell much from the video.

This is off topic but I advise you to only have 1 antivirus installed. I would uninstall McAfee and keep AVG. Computer performance will then improve.

Can you send a picture of the sweep?

Or can you just not create it?

This is a warning. Warnings in Revit can be ignored. Just ignore it if everything else is going well.

You can attempt to fix it by modifying the origin of your profile. Make the top wraps around wall. You can also check cuts wall to avoid conflicting materials currently there at the top.

Re-Hi,

Have you checked the origin of your profile?

It looks like its positionning happens outside of the wall profile, Revit migh mis understand its positionning?

Try to make the origin of the profile appen inside the wall profile.

It should solve the issue..?

Well, things are not going well. Following th error message, the sweep is not created, so I am not having it into the project..

Please attach your file so I can have a look. To have it small size, you can copy paste your wall type to a new project.

1.You mean to go into the sweep profile drawing and check the origin or

2.within the edit wall  - sweeps- distance/ offset

I cannot heavily modify this parameters or I will have the sweep not placed where I want to.

I didn't know this was that difficult..

Set the value of distance to 0 instead of 95 and it will work. You can adjust the profile family to move it up by 95. I have done both in attached file.

I had a similar experience.  I duplicated then rename the wall. Profile worked after that.

I had the same problem and resolved by drawing a section of new wall elsewhere without any connections and return . It should allow you to set up the sweep after that!
