Surface fill pattern has different line weights on different objects

Greetings,

I've set up a filter to override and apply a surface fill pattern to different objects (walls, floors, structural columns and structural framing) in the view.  However, after the filter is applied, the pattern on walls and floors has a heavy lineweight and the pattern on the columns and framing have a normal pattern lineweight.  The normal pattern lineweight is consistent with other patterns in the same view that are not part of my filter.

As an experiment, I tried a model override of all walls applying the same surface pattern settings and the same thing happened.  This particular wall family had heavy lineweights, while all the other walls had normal lineweights in their surface fill patterns.

Any suggestions?

That sounds like a glitch more than trouble-shooting. I would audit the file, save and reopen. detach and resave the file if it's a central file. Make sure your version is up to date as well, especially if you have linked files, make sure all files are the most current version.

Cheers,

-R.

Surface patterns inherit the Projection Line Weight of categories under Object Styles.  Override Projection Line Weight in Views has no effects on the surface patterns.

Thank you.  This did solve my problem - sort of, I guess.  Seems very counter productive to have to set all object style line weights to the same line weight in order to get consistent fill patterns.  Only to have to go back and override projection lines in visibility graphics to get the desired projection line weights.

One other question, there are other walls in the same model where the pattern did not inherit the heavy projection lines weight of the walls.  Can you explain why?

I agreed.  Surface patterns should have their dedicated line weights dependent from category projection line weights.

Are these walls under a different Phase?
