sun only lights on

I'm trying to render in "sun only" but the lights are on. I tried to dim them in the view but it didn't work. what else can I do?

Maybe the Material's Asset has a Self-Illumination Property.

...that would make it appear to be glowing.

you can add a visibility type parameter to the self-illuminating element in the family. When you render during daytime you switch it off when you render at night you switch it on (ideally there should be 2 identical elements one with SI the other without and you swap in between them)

 

Upload the lighting family if you are not sure how to do it

If it's Self Illumination that's giving you the grief, then just uncheck the Self-Illumination box under the Material's Appearance Tab (as I show above) and Render the scene again.  It's not rocket science, pal.  Nor is it time-consuming.  It'll take you seconds.
