feel around the door jamb - about 4'-0" AFF - for the light switch. Turn it on.

Okay. So what happens when you press "Render"?  Or have you gone that far yet?

It only gives the black screen in the background after the render time expires.

I don't know what to tell you. It looks like you are Rendering an indoor scene with Exterior: Sun Only and a bunch of missing  Appearance Images.   What do you expect?   GIGO.

no, the project is an indoor restaurant.
My illumination is not complete yet, but I encounter the same problem in places where they are complete.
I changed the revit version and I cannot get it from the area where I was able to light render before.

@eksitugcee

Take it one step at a time and isolate the problem

  • If you go to Rendering Dialogue >>> Artificial Light ...are the lights still there and switched on
  • If you go to Rendering Dialogue >>> Adjust Exposure ... Slid the dial to make it brighter, how would it look like the render
  • Are you using the right type of lights do they have a Photometric Web File assigned & Light Source defined

yes they are defined.
I checked the steps, the only problem is the artificial light button is not active so it does not detect the light by the way, thank you very much.

Check what @barthbradley told you earlier...You are rendering Exterior Sun Only... Select Sun and Artificial >>> Render >>> then adjust exposure if it is black or too dark

Sorry, but I can't view the two Solutions you awarded herein. All I see when I try, are these two completely sanitary screens.

I'm betting it has something to do with my own ineptness, but I'm not sure.   Could you please help me figure out why I'm getting sanitary screens when I try to view the Solutions?

Never mind. Found it! Light switch was on the wall to the left side of door - not to the right side.  Arrgh!
