Stop section and detail tags from automatically placing in views

Hello, I am wondering if there is a way to stop detail tags from automatically populating in views after a detail is created. I wouldn't mind using the "reference another view" option only, I just want to be in control of which views my detail tags show up in. An example of my issue is when I create a detail call-out in a building section view, it will automatically make a detail tag that overlays the building section tag in the floor plans, elevations, and section views (please see screenshots) - It happens in any view that has section tags visible. I have been trying to stay on top of this by manually hiding the unwanted detail tags in every view, but I keep managing to print sheets that have detail tags on top of my section tags.  I have looked around the internet and can't find a way to stop it from automatically happening. I appreciate feedback on how others are avoiding this.

Thank you,

Christiana

Create different types and use filters.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

Are you using View > Callout tool?

If yes, when you click on an instance of a callout in section, there is instance parameter called "Show in" and there you can select "Parent View Only". That way it will only show in the section to which it belongs to.
