I received this strange startup error everytime while the splash screen is loading. Only after clicking OK, i can open Revit.

No Authentication

"Conductor could not authenticate the user."

Anybody faced with a similar issue? Any solution?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,

Doesn't look like it's related to Revit

I even disabled all add-ins by moving them into a different folder. But the issue still persists. Please find the attached video for clarity.

.... never saw that, looks like a plugin or addin

... use Ccleaner or Disk Cleanup to clean the registry

... if nothing happens then:

.... do a clean reinstallation of REVIT

... desinstall it

... use Ccleaner or Disk Cleanup

... install it

Hi @Balaji_bSpaceIndia

Can you please send us your files to troubleshoot further?

Please see Revit - Collecting and sending diagnostic data to Autodesk Technical Support

I can send you a private folder to upload your files.

Let me know.

Below are some things you can try to prevent this error:

Solution:

1.         Close all Browsers.
2.         If signed into Autodesk A360 in any applications, please sign out.
3.         Go to Control Panel > Internet Options
4.         Clear the Browsing History, including cookies and the cache.
5.         Clear the Temp folder (Hit Windows+R, Enter %temp%, clear folder).
6.         Launch any browser.
7.         Sign in to manage.autodesk.com
8.         Launch Revit.

Please also make sure that your machine can communicate through your firewall to the following servers through ports 80 and 443, and that the sites are added to the Trusted Sites list.

1.         https://manage.autodesk.com
2.         https://api.autodesk.com
3.         https://accounts.autodesk.com

When you log in to the portal and Revit, be sure to use the exact same Autodesk ID login.

Also, see the article on How to disable add-ins for Revit (you can selectively disable add-ins, or remove them)

Let me know if this helps and if you have any additional questions.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Regards,

Hello Viveka,

Thanks for the tips. I have created the Zip. Could you share the link to privately upload the file?

Hi @Balaji_bSpaceIndia

I've shared a private upload link to your email on profile.

Let me know if you have trouble accessing the folder.

Please let me know when you are done uploading. Extract files using the collector utility in the article link I shared earlier.

Viveka,

I Can't find the Upload button in this page.

Also can't drag and drop the file. If I do that, Chrome just downloads the file again. The website isn't grabbing the input. Any folder write permission issue?

Do you have a Cisco program that is tied to your phone and computer?  That is probably where that is coming from...as your login for your computer is different than Revit's and it is seeing the user change when you open Revit.  Try disabling the app in Windows temporarily and then open Revit to see if it still happens.

So if someone calls you nothing pops up?  Or perhaps a chat program on the network?  It doesn't have to have Cisco in the name....

Hi @Balaji_bSpaceIndia

I'm looking at your journals - the first thing that pops up is that you are not on the latest build

Please see image below: (Please update to 2018.3.1)

Balaji update needed.JPG

To make sure that the issue you are seeing is not something already fixed in one of the product updates, I would suggest checking the Desktop App to see if there are any Revit updates available. For information on using the Desktop App see the following article: About the Autodesk Desktop App

Note: If you are not able to download updates through the Desktop App, the following article has information on downloading updates through the Autodesk Accounts page:

Install Updates, Add-ons, and Enhancements

Let me know if installing the updates help resolve your issue, try a repair of Revit and I will continue looking at your files.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Hi there @Balaji_bSpaceIndia

I'm just checking back to see if you received my message on 'conductor' platform and if you've had a chance to update and see if the error persists?

Waiting for your reply!

Hi Viveka,

I am out of station. I will check when I am back. I think mostly it is due
to a Trello Addin for Revit.

Really? Trello??....that is built with Cisco integration.  That is how Trello will connect with other users at your company.

But yeah....the Trello Revit Add-in is called Conductor 1.0....  I think you answered your own question, not @Viveka_CD.  The questions should go to who implemented Conductor on your system, not Autodesk.
