Hi all,

 

Can someone please provide solution if available on stair path issue. as marked in image I wish to reverse the direction of stair path to mark DN.

only for annotation purpose. is it possible??

Follow these steps:

  1. Select the stair path
  2. Go to the properties and select the system family: Automatic Up/Down Direction
  3. Choose an arrow for the Start Symbol Type, set the Arrowhead Type to something like a dot (you can't chose "none" unfortunatly), so it's not to visible
  4. Distance to cut mark = 0.00
  5. Apply/OK

Thx for the reply. still my annotation is not reversing the direction to DN

I m not sure why pls see attached file Revit 2016

I've found a solution.

I used 2 types within the "Automatic Up/Down direction" family.

(I redrew your stairs thinking it could also be relate dto the way the stair was drawn, but it doesn't.)

 

The new Rvt-file is attached.

That's what I was looking for. Thanks for your time

 

your post does provide the solution to reverse the direction of arrow however, the newly created type doesn't tag the DN to arrow even though its checked in properties I believe it has to do more with the cutting plane. if I change the cutting plane the arrow shifts to top and DN tag appears at top not big deal will use your solution with Text dn instead of tagging.
