line weight is not changing with scale

Hi,

I need help with my Revit(2016)  model.  The original scale was 1:100. I drew the model at was 1:100 in all views but now I am switching the view scales to fit on a page. When I switched to 1/64"= 1'-0" the view shrunk on my page but all the lines in the view  are thick and annotation is huge. I know from what I read online, that annotation is supposed to get larger and I have to manually change it somehow but I have no idea how to change the line weights.  Could you explain to me why the lines are so thick? What settings should I change in Revit so that every thing looks proportional in a 1/64"= 1'-0" view?

I tried to figure it out last night and it was just too frustrating. Anything you can recommend will help. Thanks

Go to Manage > Additional Settings > Line Weights.  Add 1/64" scale and adjust the line weights for that column.

I doubt seriously that you need to change your line weights, unless someone in the office is pranking you. I would be more inclined to think this is just an accidental view setting you made. Do new views created - and other view scales - display the same way?

Thanks for all the replies.  Yes, I tried to change the line weights last night but I started thinking that I messed up a setting so  thought I would ask for other ideas first.   I believe the elevations are fine its just the plans that look really thick.  The lines get thicker and thicker as the scale gets smaller and smaller.  At 1/64" = 1'-0" the walls look solid black because the lines of the walls are so thick.  How would I change the view settings barthbradley?

I tried this last night but I thought the revit model is supposed to scale lines weights down? Do you think there is an issue because I started at 1:100 scale?

1/64"!? What are you viewing? Also, if you messed around with the line weights and changed them last night - change them back to their default OOTB settings. I have never-ever had a need to change these in all the years I've been using Revit.

I am trying to view my building floor plans on a sheet. I am trying to have 2 plans on an 8.5x11 sheet for my portfolio. I am trying to do the layout within revit so everything is to scale instead of in indesign.

I just read online that portfolio drawings are generally not to scale. So maybe I don't need to worry about scale. I can just export it at 1/8" = 1' and then scale it in InDesign. I thought everything had to be to scale.

That should do it. No need to worry about scale for your portfolio.

Thank you. I don't think I would have figured out that scale was not necessary for portfolios unless I had this conversation! Thanks again!
