Sketchup as a link in Revit

I try to use a sketchup file as a link in Revit:

I get the warning and this problem:

model.png

Does anyone know how can fix it, I can understand why but there's a way to find any solution with out make the model again ?

I think it has to do with element/components in the SketchUp model that have been scaled and i recall you had to explode everything prior to bringing into Revit

The old method for importing Sketch Files was to create a In-Place model and import it into here and load into a model, you could try that method?

Use the following steps to import a SketchUp model as an "In-Place" component:

  1. Open Revit and select Architecture> Component > Model In-Place...
  2. Select the Revit Family type you want assigned to your SketchUp model (e.g. mass, generic family, furniture).
  3. Select Insert > Link CAD... and choose which SketchUp file you want to import.

Finally you could go down the IFC Route;

  1. In Sketchup > Select File > Export > 3D Model...
  2. Select 2.3 IFC
  3. Open your Revit project and select File > Open > IFC...
  4. Choose your SketchUp model's IFC file

thanks for response, unfortunately the IFC file becomes to big and then work with that is too hard and if you explode the all objects, you get the issue in Revit for control the visibility and ViewRange.
the IFC is better than Sketchup file.but you should open file as Open-->IFC then save the Revit file and open the revit file as link in your project.

Export to DWG and link the DWG in an in place generic model family in your project.
