Import a survey DWG file and use Acquire Coordinates. That will adjust Revit's Shared Coordinate system to align with the WCS of the source DWG file. Alternatively if you know the exact coordinates and elevation of a specific location in your model you can use Specify Coordinates at Point (SCaP) and enter the relevant information. You can use Rotate True North to rotate the model into alignment with True North, use the same location used for SCaP to rotate the model from.

Hello jherbst,

Thank You for helping me out. This solved part of my problem since I have
now been able to convert of the spot coordinates (in deg. Min. sec.) from my
GPS field unit into the UTM system coordinates. I can use the "Specify The
Coordinates at Point" tool to change the Survey Point on the Revit site
plan, yet the site plan has its own internal coordinate system that does not
to recognize the UTM coordinates. What I am attempting to do, is take
various know coordinate points that were obtained using a field gps unit
(garmin) and locate these points on the Revit site plan. I have all the lat
and long of all the points and now with the help of the referenced web site
from the article I can convert to almost any of the other formats but I am
still having trouble figuring out if Revit has a way to do this. Thanks
again for all your help any further information you can point out is greatly
appreciated.
