It appears Site Designer 2017 has been released and available in Autodesk Apps. I have downloaded the extension and it installed successfully, but it does not appear anywhere in my Revit 2017. It should be listed under Extensions, but it is not there. I tried reinstalling it, but it is still missing. Has anyone else encountered this problem?

I just discovered that although Site Designer was updated on 6-2-16, it is only for Revit 2016. I just opened my Revit 2016, and the extension is there and works okay. For those of us who have moved on to Revit 2017, why did they update and release it only for Revit 2016?

The Revit Site Designer 2017 was just released today on the Autodesk Desktop App. It loads perfectly into Revit 2017. Let's hope they have fixed all the bugs from the old versions.

Site Designer for Revit 2017 was an update on the Autodesk Desktop App.

I was not able to install it. (I'm using Win10 64bit.) A 1603 error message keeps on telling me the install didn't succeed.

Follow link for more info about this.

http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit-architecture/error-1603-site-designer-2017-installation/td-p/638...

(Having read this I hope there will be an updated version soon. Why should I make an extra account on my pc?)

The Site Designer for Revit 2017 update the Autodesk Desktop App informed me about isn't there anymore.

Now there's a 'Revit 2017 Site Designer v1 Enhancements' update (that also doesn't install).

For some strange reason, the Site Designer 2017 is not listed on the Autodesk site under Product Updates. But, it is available on the Autodesk Desktop App and ironically will not go away after the download. The Autodesk Desktop App is included in the Suite downloads, but it is also not available in the Product Updates.

After sending my last note, I discovered that the Site Designer 2017 in the Desktop App was actually a new version Site Designer V1 2017 and it loaded without any problems. The download was also removed from the Desktop App after the installation. I am on Windows 10 and have not had problems installing the Site Designer add-in.

I still have the same problem. Failed Installation aborted, Result=1603.

(I did remove everything out of my download folder, my temp folder, and removed the site designer folder out of C:/Autodesk before trying to install again. Still without any succes.)

Do you have anything else in C:/users than me?

- Default (hidden folder)

- Default.migrated

- Openbaar (=Public)

Hello

If I remember well, there is a bug with the Installer of Site Designer 2017 on REVIT 2017 !

Please create a Windows Group "Everyone" and then Re-Run the Install ...

Please let us know !?

Dear Braudpad,

Finally, worked perfectly.

Simply had to add an 'other users account'.

Didn't have anything to do with a microsoft account, which I don't want to use. And I still haven't to log on on my pc, which I also don't like.

Can't give you a Kudos, because the solution was already discribed in this topic:

http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit-architecture/error-1603-site-designer-2017-installation/td-p/638...

But still I'm very happy with your answer. Because of you I've tried!

And, for those that might wonder, in C:/Users an 'Everyone' account was NOT being added!

Kindest regards,

Sander

Is there a manual I can download to learn how to use Site Designer for Revit 2017? I installed the software with no problems earlier today.

I believe the last Site Designer Reference Manual was published in 2015. On the Revit help pages they have reference information that might be helpful to you. http://help.autodesk.com/view/RVT/2017/ENU/?guid=GUID-0866C35A-51D5-444E-8231-A0079EE3E4E6

For the life of me I can't locate this - Site Designer 2017  - I've looked under, but can't even find "suites" of which, I have a subscription.  This is very confusing.

When you installed Revit 2017 the install package should have also installed Autodesk Desktop App. It should show up within that program as a download install option. This is a standalone piece of software that is located under Programs - Autodesk - Autodesk Desktop App.
