Revit 2015 won't load Families

I have been using Revit 2015 in class for a few weeks now and have been having no issues... All of the sudden, whenever I try to load a family it either works (rarely, and not for a long time), won't load the new family (keeps the family I used previously), or doesn't work at all (doesn't show the family in either the Properties Tab or on the Project itself). My classmates also experienced this issue at the same time and my instructor who has been using Revit for a long time also had the issue... We have all tried everything we could think of to no avail... We tried the normal way (Insert - Load Family - Select Family), also by Component - Edit Type - Load (this has worked more often but many families won't load or will turn up an error message that the family is the wrong type, and opening the family in a new tab and either copying and pasting or selecting Load Into Project... This makes it impossible to continue our course and is extremely annoying... Can anyone tell me how to fix this or a least that you have had the same problem (I have searched forums everywhere and haven't found anyone who had the same issue or answers that helped us). Thanks ahead of time.

hello, first of all you didn't mentioned what type of family you are trying to load? you can post that family here so we can check. you can try this open your window explorer go to your family folder drag your family and drop it into your view in revit and see how it goes. thanks

Are there any error messages when loaded?  Are you sure they didn't load and you just need to select the object to place?
