Showing sunlight in interior of model for Sun Study

Hi there,

I am currently doing a sun study in Revit but when I turn on sun and turn on shadow I can't see the sun through the doors and windows inside my building model, it only shows shadows outside. How would I fix this?

Is this an exterior or interior view?

This is a plan cut where the eye elevation was set to 850mm high.

You are not going to have a correct presentation of the shadow because Revit will consider everything is cut off at 850 mm (850 mm tall walls etc...).

Ok thank you. Do You know what I would need to change in the settings?

Use a 3d top view, hide the roof, and see if it works okay enough.  You will have a correct shadow of the walls and windows, but no shadow by the roof.

Then you can overlay that view and a floor plan view on sheet if you need to show doors and windows
