Sheets

Hi There,

I'm facing a little problem with sheets set up. I try to make my own sheet from Auto Cad, that has worked fine, unfortunately I have delete few sheets from Revit and every time I bring a new sheet, instead having A2 I have got E2 so on and so forth. Also when I try to bring the first floor on the E2 sheet I have got a new message state that "this vies is already placed on sheet A1 - First Floor Plan (that I have deleted) To place a similar view on a sheet, you can use the Duplicate View or Duplicate with Detailing command to create a copied view. You can also use the Duplicate as Dependent command to create a new view that is tied to the orginal view, allowing you to split and crop these dependent vies across multiple sheets" So my question is that, I have to start again from the scratch in order to have the sheets set up properly?

no you don't have to start from scratch...

  1. for the A2 and E2 issue....if you are referring to the sheet number, when you deleted some sheets, REVIT picks up from the last sheet number placed, i.e.: u just need to reset it manually to the sheet number you want and it should pick up from there. I don't think Revit or any Orr software can interpret on it's own which number or series it should reset to A2 B2 C2 or D or E without it being instructed to do so
  2. for the Drawing already placed error...without a screenshot of what you have on your screen or the file to look into, I would suggest that you resort to your project browser and verify what sheets are there and what is placed on those sheets. If revitalize says it has already been places, then it has been already placed...

Thanks, for you prompted reply! When you say that reset manually, I do not
know how can you do that, I try to change the sheet # on
the number, for instance E10 to A2, REVIT, gives me a message as " Sheet
Number is already in use. Enter a unique number" Again I have deleted A2
therefore I do not know how to deal with it. Could you kindly explain to me
how reset manually, or how can I change the number E10 to A2. In my
understand E10 is electrical sheet, and in this project that is a concrete
block garage, I do not need
Electrical project.

Thank you in advance.

Can you go to the project browser and expand the Sheets section and make a print screen of what you have then attach it to the reply?

It might also be useful to create a sheet list to see what you've got already there in terms of sheets and add a print screen of that too

Nothing is attached to ur reply 🙂

But hey if u see lots of sheets in the project browser, select what u don't need, right click and delete them in the project browser. If they are there then you did not delete them the first place

Hi RDAOU
Find attached screenshot from project browser. When I"m going to Sheet A2
(that I have delete) I can see any sheet and I can put on a different
sheet. I have deleted all sheet that I will not need

Thank you,
