Sheet Issue date in Revit 2018 ?

Anonymous

Hi all! 🙂

I've a question regarding the Sheet issue date parameter, in the sheet table (schedule).

In the sheets/titleblocks, the date is shown in European style (dd MM yyyy), but in the sheet table, the date is shown in US dateformat (MM dd yyyy), which is extremely confusing and not very smart, because of the rics of mistakes/errors.

Is there a way to change this, so that I dont manually  have to make a new parameter from scratch and re-type the date ?

Thank you 🙂

The "Sheet Issue Date" label is not date sensitive.

It is plain text, you can fill in what you want.

Hi there

Thanx for the reply - altho it's not excately what I mean.

In the schedules/quantities, u can make a sheet list of the drawings u have put on paper/titleblocks. The date here, on when the drawing was made has the wrong format:

But when u look at the titleblock, it the right format.

I need to change the format in the schedule, from (MM dd yyyy) to (dd MM yyyy).

correct @-FDC-

the issue is what is prompting the user to enter values in the wrong sequence mm/dd/yyyy or dd/mm/yyyy

change it in the Revision set up panel and it will prompt the user the correct sequence.

that relates to a shared parameter in your sheet schedule

modify the label of that shared Parmameter to reflect your needs.

Hi there and thanx for the reply, alltho it wasn't excatly what I meant.

The date is written in 2 different formats - I just need the European format - and to change the one from the US format to the other.

Here's a titleblock/sheet - it's the same titleblock, but the date is written in 2 different formats ??

open the Title Block family select the label you want to change

the Time Stamp Date label and change it to the format you want - save the title block and reload into your project

But I havent' issued any revisions yet, so it can't the in revisions set up panet?

I'm thinking more something like in the titleblock labels setup, where the date needs to be changed?

Alltho the sheet issue date is automatic (and I dont have it on my titleblock), so therefor I cannot change it.

Glad I could help.

The one on the right of your title block is a date stamp and this is a real date.

The sheet issue date is simple text.

Hallo,

If it is not date sensitive, how Revit get's date to fill in?  In one of the answers its mentioned that Revit takes the date from Windows system.

In my computer de system configureated DD/MM/YYYY , but Revit fill Sheet Issue Date ( text ) as MM/DD/YY too.

Please can someone from autodesk explain that ?

Till now I also have to change de Sheet Issue Date manually in de schedule because of this date issue.
