Selecting a split face in floor bottom

Good morning/evening,

I noticed that once I make a split face in the bottom of floor /  ceiling I can't select it again to delete or modify it.

Does anyone know why ?

Thanks in advance,

You can't select it by tabbing in? Press tab a couple of times to reach only your split lines.

I tried this for sure, unfortunately it works only if I split the upper side face ( Plan )
In case of the bottom ( Reflected Ceiling ) it doesn't work

What if you make a selection by dragging right to left (including everything that crosses) and then filter your selection to split face?

I didn't think about that but thanks it was a really good idea it works !

It doesn't show the selection in blue but I can delete it or press edit boundary in the ribbon so I think that's a glitch some how.

Anyway thanks again that was simple but efficient.

I have to admit, it is a weird glitch, and unfortunately, it is nearly 10 years old...

Until Autodesk come up with a better solution:

  1. Edit the floor and cut around the split area.
  2. Save and ignore the warning about deleting a split area.
  3. Re-Edit the floor to the original shape.
