Section markers visible in 3D views

I think I know the answer to this but thought I throw it out there before I post it on the ideas page.

Is there a way to see section markers in 3D views? At the moment it's clunky to be in 3D, want to jump to a relevant section but then have to go to plan view, work our which one relates then double click it. I may be missing something but I can't find a way of showing it.

If it's not an option then with the addition of levels in 3D views in 2019 it's surely an easy add-in for those clever friendly Revit programmers. Smiley Very Happy

If you are in a 3D view, just activate the section box and cut a live 3D section instead of opening a 2D section.

No such luck I am afraid.
What are you trying to achieve, I didn't quite understand your post regarding jumping to a section. Would using the view cube to orient the section box to the section you want assist?

In the default 3D view the section box is greyed out. How do I select it?

**Edit** My bad, it was the selection box that was greyed out, not the section box. How do I orient the view to a section? Using the viewcube?

Right click on the view cube and select 'Orient to View > Sections' then select the one you want.

Section box will cut your model from that section...
