Schedules - Area between linked models

Hello;

I am currently working on a project which has 10 dwellings with all different house types. I have a master file which has all the individual house types linked into it. In the individual house type models, I have a schedule which takes off the area and gives me a grand total. I have linked schedule between the individual models and the master but it is only giving me floor area per floor rather than the total area for that dwelling.

Is there any way of adding the area together in the individual models and then importing it through the linked schedule to show as one area measurement per dwelling.

Hope the above makes sense.

Thanks in advance.

when you create an area schedule, you can place a checkmark in the box that says "include elements in links."  This may help

Checking the box that says "include elements in links" does not work in my case. Is this possible to do, or are these special Revit Elements that are not shared across linked models?

What are you scheduling?  Areas or Rooms?  If Rooms the tick "Include Elements in links" should work.  if Areas then you need additional steps:  transfer project standards > Area Schemes from the links to you model, then schedule specific Area scheme AND the "Include.. box" ticked.
