Schedule Shared Parameter of Doors in Linked Models

Hi,

I haven't found a clear answer so here is my question :

I have a host file with 2 linked files.

Nothing in the host (templates and annotation families)

Some doors and walls in model 1 (structure model)

The other doors and all the Rooms in model 2

I want to create a schedule based on a common Shared Parameter (common to the 3 files, based on the same SharedParameterFile).

Is it doable?

All my tries ended with an empty schedule.

Thanks by advance

If I understood you right. You have a host, and links containing Families that have shared parameters, and those parameters are not appearing in the schedule when trying to create it in the Host file ?

If so, then you need to have that shared parameter existed in the host file it self, either by adding it as a project parameter.
or by loading a family containing that same parameter.

And while creating the schedule, there's a button called "Include Elements in Link", I expect you know that already.

We sometime create junk families that contain shared parameters for an easy management in such cases.

I hope this could help.

Should be doable. Did you check "include linked elements" in the Schedule?

Ok thank you both.

I was modifying the ID of the parameter (in linked file it was different from host file).

Looks like you need the same ID in all files.

Now it works.
