Scaling dimensions for detail

I am looking to made a simple 2d drawing that will be used multiple times in a project as a standard detail. In this detail there is a blow-up that I want to dimension but it is not to scale. The detail is a notch 1" high, 1/2" deep and a 1/2" slope to the flat. When making the blow up the numbers are 4x larger then they should. Is there a way to scale the dimension to show the smaller number?

1/16" text is really the smallest you should use.  Work backward from there.

- Override dim value with text and append an Unicode at the end

- or create a detail of the notch, change scale, and place it on the same sheet in the main detail area, w/o a view title

Not sure to whom you addressed but both of what I offered above are for this condition.

Looks like a call-out to me.  Just place the 2 views on the same sheet.  No?

So you have all the linework drawn in one Detail/Drafting view, it is not an actual live callout...

Just make 2 different Dimension Styles, one for 1/8" and one for 1/16" (or what ever sizes you want them to represent at).  Assign the appropriate dimension style size to the appropriate text.  

the .25 dimension is set to Bldg_Ticks 1/16" Dim style

the 1.75 dimension is set to Bldg_Ticks 1/8" Dim style
