Roof join issues

I can't seem to find help on this situation. I think I don't know how to word it so I will paste some screenshots below to show what I've done and how I did it. I'm not sure if I attempted this correctly or not, but I'm going to assume that I did not. That said, I have drawn a couple of roofs and attempted a join, but they will not join and clean up. I use Revit daily, but in a different industry so I don't ever draw roofs like this.

That's the problem. I don't really know roofs since I don't use them often. Thank you. I will look into some Revit roof videos.

If the roof slopes or geometry are causing the issue, especially in small roofing jobs, you might need to modify individual sub-elements of the roof (under "Modify" > "Sub-Element" tool) to ensure that they align better before attempting to join. If the roofs are supposed to meet at a wall or another architectural element, try using the “Attach Top/Base” tool to attach the roof to the walls first, as this can sometimes help clean up edges. If the roofs have different slopes or overhangs, Revit might struggle to create a clean join. Adjust the slope arrows or roof sketch lines to align them properly.
