Revit2019: Wall pattern-Color Siteplan

Hi,

I dont manage to give a material a grey full pattern.

Doing so in the wall settings, for example by changing a random material and applying to it a full pattern with a color for section views, it does not display the color in the site plan (material remains white) or -sometimes- irregularily, it displays another not chosen color...see what I mean in the attached screenshots. Can someone please help?

Hallo,

If your view is coarse then the colors and patterns are governed by the coarse scale cut pattern under wall type properties, not by the actual layers materials.  The quickest way to override every wall in a view without either changing the materials or the coarse scale cut patterns is VG > Walls > change Cut pattern to the pattern and the color you want (in your case, solid and gray).

Here's what @ToanDN is talking about. I just posted this on another thread.

Hi,

thx for these hints, but the visiility mode is not coarse but fine (only wrote that in german), also there is no halftone overvriting in the visibility settings or sth alike. Doing as suggested, the "coarse scale fill pattern" would overwrite all of my multilayerwall.

What I actually wanted, was to highlight the inner plasterbord material by overwriting it with a colored pattern. Therefore I opened the wall setting (edit type, then edit structure), added a new material on the interior site of the wall, then set the material to plasterbord and changed to cut pattern to a solid color pattern. What then happens is: if I choose grey, the wall layer remains white in the siteplan, if I choose red, it becomes orange, if I choose a dark blue it is shown as a light blue (as you can see in the screenshots)....SO I absolutely dont understand what changes the display of the colors...and how I can fix it.  :,(

Thank you very much for your help so far.

Do you have some Filters -- or VGOs by Element or Category -- going on in the view? If you change the Material Graphic Patterns and Fill, it should be applied project wide.

Wait a minute!  This is wacko behavior!  --- or "shiza" behavior, whichever you prefer.  Post your file.

...almost sounds like a hardware issue. Graphics Card maybe?

Is your view in Shaded mode?  Change it to Hidden.
