Revit wall joins - wrong textures

Okay

 

So I'm drawing in Revit 2020 and am trying to draw a detailed elevator shaft with the textures en section symbols according to some drawing conventions we have. The problem is that the shaft which is made from concrete blocks has a projection texture which looks like the blocks, but it seems to stop too early. 

The part in the red box should also have the same texture.

Here you go. I have a similar case with another project. there the line marking the joint of two materials is missing at one side.

you are not seeing the CMU because you are looking at the the side of the hole in the floor Floor (1). you can use the paint tool to just map the material to the face....

Looks like an accurate representation to me.  Maybe you are having trouble visualizing it. Happens to us all. Do this:

Go to 3D View, right-click on View Cube, select "Orient to View"=>"Sections=>"Section:Section 9". Now twist the view ever so slightly. See now?

This seems like a lot of manual labour, if I have to do this for all the joints. Also this isn't correct either. You see the concrete floor slab is cast-in-situ with the elevator shaft's wall. So the lowest part you painted should also be white for concrete.

put in 2 floors.... on as a slab (the 300mm thick concrete), one as the Finish (the insulation and finish).  then you can cut one hole in the slab for the elevator pit and another slightly larger hole in the finish floor so you can see the walls going to slab. We do this work flow all the time in our office. Structural is responsible for the slab and the architects/interiors are responsible for the finish.

We've also heard of this workflow before, but we never saw the advantage. It seems like a flaw in the software. We are always looking for the most efficiënt workflow, but in fact we're still testing and searching.
