Revit slow to respond when switching between programs

Running Windows 11, Revit 2024, fully updated on both fronts.

When I have Revit open, switch my focus to any other program, and then click back to Revit, I always get the busy blue spinning windows cursor for 5 to 6 seconds (never more, never less) before Revit becomes resposive and I can work in it.  Doesn't matter what project I have open.  This is becoming really annoying, especially when I am referencing other programs while trying to work in Revit at the same time.  This doesn't happen with any other programs for me.

Revit when open is taking up 2,700MB of RAM, and I don't see any CPU spikes when switching to it.

My System:

Intel(R) Xeon(R) W-2255 CPU @ 3.70GHz

128 GB RAM

1TB SSD with 300+GB free

RTX 3080 GPU

Anyone else experiencing this?

Right. Can NOT.  It's an infuriating response from the makers of a product.  Very frustrating.  They did actually provide a service tech that was working with me for a bit.  Unfortunately I had less time than they did and I just had to get back to work. They proposed me going more troubleshooting steps to try and really pin down the cause. Perhaps one of you reading this can get with them on this(?).  Otherwise it seems like for now its not priority for them to fix.

We had been trying to resolve the issue with makers of product as well, but it kinda fell by the wayside.  We opened a support case, tried a few different things they suggested and I believe haven't heard back.  A lot of our Revit users ended up getting away from using the 3D mouse, because I think in early adoption of Revit it didn't actually work and we had bought them to use for Inventor software initially.  But... definitely not an ideal situation or work around.  Have to pick the lesser of the evils I guess.

I had similar experience from bothe support teams : from Autodesk tech support as well as from the 3D mouse support team. They gave me long list what to try.

but I am in work-time pressure .

I am willing to send my working desktop to any of the teams any time having themself to resolve the issue.

My offer was not taken on the account.

edit: one funny suggestion from 3dconnexion tech support was : use the latest Revit version  (Revit 2025) .. well  i have to use version which is decided by general designer-architect  project by project , i cannot choose the version as a HVAC desiger.

For me, the issue happens only some days, maybe computer restarts or Revit reopens might have an affect. I only use the 3d mouse for Navis models.  Wish I could just isolate it from Revit altogether.  Tried deleting only Revit related drivers but that changed nothing.

That must be an awesome mouse for you all to choose to deal with such an annoying issue instead of using a mouse that doesn't cause lags.

I admit, it really is. But as a time flows You realized connection between lagging and revit (and for sure, this was not an issue first months of usage of  it) .

Now first day after loong time i do not use the 3d mouse, and i feel like without one hand during revit modelling.

It truly increased my efficiency and productivity. , but... things worsen

....spice must flow.

I don't use it for Revit as much as I use it for Twinmotion, but to disable the driver for Revit also disables it for Twinmotion...  but yes, it is a dream to use when navigating a model, and makes the experience a very smooth and professional when walking through a model in front of a client.

I've been battling this issue for a while now.  Starting the computer, then immediately rebooting it in the morning seems to prevent the issue.  I just got a new computer and had the issue with R2022 (I did not do the double boot this morning).  Reboot fixed it.  Current driver (10.9.4.686) does not fix the issue.
