Revit render progress issue

Hi everyone,

I am looking to get some guidance on a potential issue I have encountered with Revit.

I have been running a render for the last 40 hours for a project and the render progress has now reached 100% but the render dialog is still open.

Currently my only option is to hit the close button. The elapsed time has stopped ticking over but there is still a loading wheel when I hover my mouse over the progress bar.

My question is, is this normal? I do not have much experience with renders and do not want to hit the close button as the dialog was meant to close when the render was complete and the "save to Project" and "Export" buttons are still greyed out underneath. I really don't want to risk losing the render.

Any advice would be appreciated.

If you don't want to lose your render just let it go. When your render is 40 hours (which is quite extreme) it will take some time to close the dialog. This even happens with renders of 10 minutes.

Maybe you need for your next render some optimization?

Hi Marc,

Unfortunately it has been on 100% with the render progress window still open for the last hour and it isn't showing any sign of changing. I am going to run a test on a different computer and see what happens.

Solved.

The render had finished, it was just unclear from the dialog window. After an hour or so of the loading wheel spinning i bit the bullet and hit the close button and i was able to save and export the finished render.

Took the same chance and I was able to save it too!
