Revit material cutout - elements become hollow?

Hello!

I am trying to show return pipes different, like they are dashed in 2D.

For this i used a 'stripe texture' jpg on the material cutout. I attached it here below.

But when i render it , the pipe becomes hollow, like it is only a surface.

Is it possible to change this behaviour, so that the cutouts receive a surface, like the pipe is solid?

Also, not sure if the cutout image is right, as you can see on the pipes on the left it shows correctly, but on some other pipes it gets strange.

Thank you!

The cutout is used to create this cut and since the pipe is a hollow surface, it happens.

I think for that you would have to create an image with the desired colors and characteristics and apply it as a texture image. Generic - Image
