Even though it is very tempting to use Specify and Close a specific workset, I favor using a Filter and View Templates.
I find relying on Worksets is too vulnerable to others not assigning all the grids/levels to the correct workset. It is too dependent on people I don't/can't exert any control over. It's nearly inevitable that it will happen on at least one if not several links and vary over time. I've seen projects that start out fine but end up with changes and grids are routinely missing or showing up whenever someone has decided to rely on the workset approach.
In contrast, I can control our grid/level names so a Filter can always isolate mine from theirs. Then our view templates include a filter to turn them off. It does take a little planning in advance and VT/Filter configuring. Once it is configured I can deal with other things. We just make sure all views that get printed (on sheets) have a VT. I use a few views that always show the grids/levels so it is easy to see if they are not still coordinated.
