Revit freezes when clicking on a textbox (e.g. Description under Identity) in Material editor dialog in Revit 2022.1.6 and 2023.1.4

Issue:

When clicking on a textbox control in the material editor dialog, Revit hangs up and stops working. This issue happens to all textbox controls (e.g. Name, Description, Comments, Mark, etc.), which allow users to input texts, in the Material editor dialog.

Causes:

This was introduced by the QT library version upgrade in 2022.1.6 and 2023.1.4, which was to mitigate security vulnerabilities.

Status:

Product team is investigating it and we will update with the information as available.

Awesome thanks!! My explorer trick wasnt working this time around and tried this and it did it! I uplugged my other monitor (not the one that revit froze on) and it changed the resolution of my main monitor... then worked!

Nice to have two potential solutions to this. If i subconsciously highlight again and freeze Im going to try rotating primary monitors and changing resolutions to see if that doesit.

I tried the explorer also and the HDMI, but it didn't do the trick.  What worked for me is to change the windows Display zoom parameter from 100% to 125% and apply.  Bringing back to 100% after.

This has worked for me all day. I think this is the trick. All the other solutions sometimes do this rescaling as part of their process. but this is the easiest and quickest.
