Revit family rotation parameters + dimensions reportable in project

Hello everyone,

I've got 2 issues I'm currently working on:

1) This one should be easy I think 🙂 I would like a dimension I create in family to be visible in project (see pics below) - north angle is a parameter connected to global project north direction

2.png2) 2nd issue is also related to the angle parameter, I'd like to have a reporting parameter in my family displaying difference between true north of project and the direction of the family but I can't seem to add any rotation parameter to the family... Tried to nest the family and lock it to a reference line, but I get an error every time I try to do this... The nested family is attached

Workaround for the dimension: you might try using a label, with the text parameter linked to the angle parameter. Don't know if that works perfectly, but you could also have it as a shared property, by type, and adjust the text in your project. Then load nested tick-lines, and draw an arc, between your two reference lines. The trick will be getting your label to float centered, could try similarly nesting a label.

This seems unnecessarily complicated, and someone more experienced probably has a better solution.
