Revit export to DWG results in different colors

I'd like to know why Revit exports somethings different from what I've setted in the export setup.

For example, the Structural column in the projection field was with Color ID 4 and in the Cut field was with Color ID 5.

When i open the exported file the column comes with color control modified for number 7 (white or black) instead of 4 (what was setted).

Someone can clarify what is going om, please?

Thanks.

Hi @uoliveira

See settings mentioned at  Colors for DWG/DXF Export and Specify how colors are exported to DWG or DXF files and let me know if this helps.

Or else, can you share the file with us to troubleshoot further?

I can send you a private folder if you'd like.

Looking forward to your reply update.

Regards,

Hi @Viveka_CD,

this is an older thread but I thought it might be easier to continue haere rather than starting a new one as I'm having similar issue.

For some reason the cut pattern of floor doesnt appear to be related to any predefined setting.
When exporting as "by layer without overrrides" the color is index 2. When exporting "by layer with overrides" I get color 55. My predefind color is 254.
I think I know the answer to the next question but just in case something has changed in 2019 (may via dynamo) - is there a way to export in WYSIWYG style?

Thank you

Thank you for your reply @Viveka_CD. I could only send the file privately if there is such option (through subscription).

Hi Viveka

I have a similar problem with Revit export to DWG. The export colors option I used was "Index color" and the export layer options was "Export all properties BYLAYER, but do not export overrides". The exported dwg showed continuous axis although it was dashed line in Revit. Then I changed my export layer options to "Export category properties BYLAYER and overrides BYENTITY" and "Export all properties BYLAYER, and create new layers for overrides", both of them showed a different color than my predefined color in Revit. Can you help me figure out the problem. Thank you and have a good day.

Sincerely

Lei

The process of converting Revit to dwg is very poor in quality. Should have more attention from Autodesk. This is only one of various issues involving layer transcription.

To continue this thread. Is the dwg-export problems solved or am I doing something wrong? In the attached files shows the problem.
In the 1st picture linetypes are correct but some of the elements are shown with wrong colors (e.g. door color, some of the wall materials)
This was exported category properties BYLAYER and overrides BYENTITY

The 2nd picture shows that all colors correct (by layer) but most linetypes are shown as continuous lines.
This is Export all properties BY layer, but do not export overrides.

This topic is confusing; they mixed up the issue of colors with the issue of lines.
Initially, we were talking about colors, and my model is having trouble with this.
Some linked .rvt files are being exported with the colors specified in my configuration, but all these elements have another color overlaid. It is possible to go into the DWG file and fix this, but it requires a significant amount of time throughout the project.
