REVIT display issue

REVIT display issue. Stairs display above the breakline as dashed so long as you show them in the phase that they were created. Stairs created in Existing phase shown in New Construction phase show solid above the cut line. If you hover over them, the dashed lines are evident but when they print, the lines are solid

This is A. Beyond stupid on the part of Autodesk and B. Very confusing to clients and contractors

Any work-arounds?

do you know about View Visibility and Graphics Overrides? Pretty smart of Autodesk.  😉

Autodesk Community noooooooo. Overrides are not the issue. The drawing THINKS it’s a dashed line which is why when you hover over it it shows a dashed line. It just isn’t b

Stop hovering over them for Christ's sake! You're scaring the dash out of them! 😉

 

 

Joking aside, Revit lines don't "think".  Not yet at least.  Maybe sometime in the future. 

 

What you can do in the mean time, is change them manually through Object Styles and View VGOs.
