Revit Design Options views not working

I have set up a design option in which I have two options in option set 1. I have then duplicated the views and tried to have set up the visiblity settings within each view to display a specific option however its not working. Even though I have set the visiblity setting to a specific view, it still doesnt display the view that I want, I still have to go the design options settings located near the bottom of the screen to change view to the option that I want and whenever I go to a different view and come back it reverts back to the default design option. its difficult to explain so I hope someone understands what I mean... Does anyone know what the issue is?

If you set the Design Option at the bottom of the screen to Main Model, it will display whatever design options you have applied in the V/G settings. But if you select an option down there, it overrides whatever you have set in the V/G settings.

Hi,

A quick guess of your issue. Check the Properties browsers when you have opened your view and check if this parameter is set to all:

And then in the Visibility/Graphics overrides set your option.

ah ok thanks, I see what you mean. I don't think its very smart the way they've done it, I feel like the view that you're in should say what design option it is at the bottom of screen and not say 'main model' it makes it confusing.

Its because that setting is more for what design option you want to WORK in. The V/G settings are for what design option is VISIBLE. Anything you place while in a design option is placed in that design option, not the main model. I can maybe understand why you'd see this is unnecessary, though I disagree. But once you start working with multiple design option sets in a single project, you'll understand why its set up this way.
