I've downloaded the Revit 2019 Trial.  My company is going to be switching to Revit.  I am having a problem when trying to print to PDF the text looks messed up, (stretched & crowded).  Does anyone have some solutions to this problem.  I am using Boot Camp iMac pro with the 5k display.

thanks

Hi @Xtremerc38

As the first step, please install Autodesk Revit 2019.0.1 hotfix from your Autodesk Desktop App and let me know if it resolves the issue.

Which PDF printer are you using?

Are you using multiple monitors?

Is this error specific to a user/ machine and model?

Have you substituted a different font to see if the error persists?

Looking forward to your reply update.

Regards,

Hi, when I go to the desktop app it say all the updates are installed.  I've tried using the bluebeam and CutePDF printers.  I do have multiple monitors, (2 thunderbolt displays plugged in).  I don't have another machine to test it on.  I've also tried the standard arial font as well.

A few more questions -

Can you share your recent journal and file to test further? I can send a private upload folder.

Have you tried changing the display settings of the monitors?

Are you on remote desktop or parallels?

Which version of windows are you using?

Regards,

I figured out the problem I was having.  I am running the iMac Pro in boot camp mode with windows 10 installed.  I installed a new driver from bootcampdrivers.com for the graphics card and now it all works good.  the text is normal when printed. It looks like the older official graphics driver from apple was not working correctly.   Thanks for your quick help though I appreciate it.

Change the screen resolution to 2.5K and print again see what happens.

I had changed the resolution to several different settings including that one and tried printing, no luck.  the driver helped things to work better.

thanks

Hi @Xtremerc38

That's good to know.

Here is a similar thread with recommended solutions and a few articles related to PDF printing errors.

I will be adding to this collection with more resources.

Let me know if you face issues with PDF printing and I'll be glad to test further.

We will file a Problem report to further diagnose the issue.
