The sheet collections have been great in managing projects that include various types of issues (land use, site development permit, shell building permit, TI permit, etc) with it combined with phase filters. However, when using revisions ‘per project’ (our office standard over ‘per sheet’), it doesn’t appear you can categorize revisions per collection and still have each collection with their own revision list.
Hope to see ‘by collection’ added to the revisions in the future. in the meantime, has anyone come up with a workaround to having multiple sheet collections staying in a single revit file thru construction?
On prior projects some in our office tried to have a main model file linked into multiple sheet models for all the various sets and it wasn’t great (so don’t want to do that just to manage revisions).
It would definitely be nice to have the ability to apply a sheet collection to a revision so that each collection has its own numbering.
The only thing I can think to do currently as a workaround would be to use one of the Revision parameters you do not use (possibly Issued By) and manually fill in a revision number instead. You could then use that and remove the built in Revision Number from the schedule.
