Rendering in Cloud - REVIT 2017

Hi all, hope you can help me.

I'm trying to do some final renders for a planning submission.

Whenever I try to render in the cloud (so I can carry on using revit) a dialogue box appears that says some images are missing... Before I started to encounter the problem I would be able to close the box and then it would continue to send the render to the cloud. Now when I close the box it closes revit??? I have earlier today (without closing the program) sent a render to the cloud and it worked fine....

I have tried:

  • signing in and out
  • signing in with a colleagues account
  • restarting the computer
  • doing a saveas
  • starting revit without addIns enabled (by renaming the folder)

I have followed multiple threads on troubleshooting this issue but I am still stuck in the same situation.

Is there anything that could help?

Hi Declan,

what happens if you run a draft render (for speed) using the internal render engine of Revit? does the message about missing images still appear and does the render complete?

the images are either to do with you materials (missing texture etc.) or decal perhaps. it should still render though.

Make sure your Revit us up-to-date (what version are you using? 2017 should be on 2017.2)

Can you open another model and render successfully from that one?

Hi Justin,

Thank you for the reply.

I had run an overnight render internally and it worked perfectly fine. A message still appeared about the missing images but I am completely aware of this and know that this isn't the problem.

I am using Revit 2017.2.

I have to render in cloud on another project and the exact same issue has occurred.

I'm just going to assume at this point that it is simply my computer which is the issue. I managed to complete one successful render in the cloud yesterday morning but since then I have achieved none with countless attempts...

Many Thanks

**UPDATE**

Used a different computer within the office to render in cloud and it was successful.

Must be an issue with my PC.

Any idea's what that might be??

I have the same exact problem with rendering to cloud. A box says images are missing and then another box came up and my revit is closed.
