Recent nVidia Geforce Graphics cards for Revit

Hi All,

Was trying to spec suitable PCs for using Revit with decent mid range performance & the list of known supported graphics cards seems out of date now.

Anyone know if (or how well) the current Nvidia GTX 1060 works or do we need a GTX 1080?

Thanks...

Don't have a "version" yet, it'll be a new install.... so somehow need to spec up the hardware before being able to trial the s/w on that hardware.

The newer cards have WAY more power than you will ever need for something like Revit. They would be considered quite high-end for a Revit exclusive workstation. What other programs were you hoping to run? Were you planning on playing games?

You will have absolutely no issues running Revit with a GTX 1060. For comparison I am running an i3-6100 @ 3.7GHz with 8GB RAM and an Nvidia GeForce 210. I am practically using a potato for a graphics card. I get good FPS and have yet to crash or freeze. I will get some stutter on larger projects but as of yet I have not failed to finish a project. I keep telling my IT guys to upgrade me but I get no respect. I have half a mind to bring in an old 750Ti I have laying around and install it without their knowledge. Good luck with your new set up.
