no content libraries
3 days now I have been struggling with this, with various chats with various autodesk people, still no solution, have installed, uninstalled, clean installed to the point where my hard drive is crying for me to stop
have downloaded the full install files via virtual server and am now at my wits end with this, so far there is , or I have not seen a master xml file for revit 2018
I have obviously unistalled the content libraries and reinstalled, but its always empty, I dont use revit all the time and only pay a month by month subscription, depending on what work i have on, but seriously reconsidering this,
Any help would be greatly appreciated, if anyone has the files i need, either a master xml for 2018 or even the folder structure they can share, it would be a great help
many thanks
Alan
cant find a way to edit this, so will have to add, I have searched the forums and tried all the methods described for previous versions, none worked
@DTM-TECH have you try to switch off all your anti virus program and firewall before downloading. you can download from autodesk virtual agent. and see if helps. thanks
After a complete clean uninstall....install under another user with admin rights, but still Right click "run as admin" when installing.
Something maybe goofy with your user profile. Another option is install on another computer and copy the libraries to a USB drive and transfer.
Hi @DTM-TECH
Can you uninstall and reinstall using browser download and check if Contents Library(Family Templates) are installed or not?
a. From Uninstall Tool.
b. From Revit - Option Menu
c. Go to the location folder and confirm files are existing.
2. How to install Contents Library(Family Templates
a. Download xml files : Revit_2015_MasterXML.zip 13 KB
Revit_2016_MasterXML.zip 15 KB
b. Navigate to C:\Autodesk and find the Revit Source file. ex) C:\Autodesk\WI\Autodesk Revit 2017 or C:\Autodesk\Autodesk_Revit_2017 )
c. Navigate to C:\Autodesk\Revit_Folder\Content\Revit.
d. Copy the master.rlt.xml file that was extracted in step 1 and paste it into C:\Autodesk\(WI)\Revit_Folder\Content\Revit.
e. Double Click the installer located at C:\Autodesk\(WI)\Revit_Folder\Setup.exe
f. Click Revit Conten Libraries and confirm Content Libraries is checked.
g. Close the selection by pressing arrow button to activate Install > Install
