Question Regarding Title Viewport Lines

Working in some projects in Revit 2022 and noticing I'm unable to adjust the horizontal line on viewport title. Basically step number 4, I am unable to do. does anyone know why that might be the case or how I can get it to show? is there a way to create a new family with that setting? Thank you!

Select the viewport, NOT the view title, then you will see the grips adjust the line.

I did actually do that already, as did my coworker. We don't see the lines on either of our ends.

Select the viewport, edit type:

also is checked. I'm wondering if there is some kind of internal setting we are unaware of... would you have suggestions on how to investigate this or know how to create a family with it as an option?

Edit the family and make sure there is NO actual line.

Is the viewport locked? That would prevent the grips from showing.

Click on it and check the pin/unpin tools under the modify tab. Or if it is pinned, a pin should show up toward the middle of the viewport.

that's actually greyed out. would there be a  setting within my company or in revit that would make it so that's not an option to change?

Which one is grayed out? Pin and unpin are two separate tools. If the pin tool is grayed out, that means the item is pinned, so hit the unpin button above it.

I did do that- wasn't able to locate a setting which would allow for the 'bubbles' to show up so I can drag within the project. I am able to change the length within the family itself but was wondering if there is some way to edit the family so it's adjustable in the project. want to understand the mechanism behidn it so I can potentially get it to show. Thanks in advance!!  If you aren't sure, I appreciate all your help 🙂

Do you see any line in the family?

the line in the family is editable but I don't see a parameter or option which would allow for it to be editable within the project itself, if that makes sense. I'm used to being able to click and drag customizable within the project itself rather than needing to create a new family  -- can't tell if there is some missing parameter or some company wide setting, I'm not sure how to look for it either.

I guess you missed my earlier response.  You cannot have any line in the family, the line is generated automatically in the project.  Delete it.
