Question about view of doors

Hi guys, another question for you...

I have placed this door (Door-passage-single-flush) on my wall.. and it is placed more one side than the other.   From the floor plan though I seem unable to move the door in the direction (perp to the wall)... how can i make the door equal on both sides of the wall?

I also wanted to see through the door hole, not just to see this pattern, could someone also tell me how to do that?

Are you asking how to make a door widen from the center outwards?  If so, just open the OOTB "Fixed" door and see how it's done via EQ constraints.  

Regarding second question: do you mean you want to show the Door in the opened position or do you mean you want to hide the Door panel entirely in the View?

So with the first answer, I think  I am not quite advanced enough to enderstand what you have explained to me...

I have attached a little 2d aerial view sketch of what I mean in terms of doors positioning in relation to the wall.  (so the back is the door from above, and the grey is the wall).  It is just sticking ou much more one side, and not centralized... not sure how to fix.

And with the second question, this is exactly what I am asking! 🙂

Looks like you are using a door with an Inset or Offset Parameter.  Check in the Properties of the Door for either.

Only regarding the second question of showing the door open.  I had actually managed to edit the family to show the door open (screenshot of door family shown).. yet in the model that it is loaded in, the door nor the door handle actually show properly, it is only the door frame seemingly, with a sort of funny shaded filling in the middle (also shown in picture).

In the family I have checked that the materials are loaded on the door panel as birch, and on the door handle as aluminium (shown in picture).  Visibility graphics all seem to be on.  

Do you have any idea what might be causing the difference in appearance between the family (saved), and then the same family that is loaded into the architectural model?
