Edit Stairs, select Stair and check the Relative Base Height under Properties. Is it greater that zero?
Wait a minute. So the Structural Depth is 5" and the Riser height is 6"; is that correct? Well then, you need to fill that space with something. You decide what.
is there any other way ? other than filling that gap with some other material ?
but what if the structural designer design the stairs in 5" or 4" thickness and the riser height is 6" .

Look it - it ain't rocket science. Do the math. If the Structural Depth MUST BE 5" AND the Riser Height MUST BE 6", then you have a 1" gap. 6" minus 5" = 1". You need to figure out a solution. That's part of the design process. How are they supposed to install this pre-fab stair flight in the field?
ok thanx.
now i got it . Structural depth and riser height should be kept same then only we would not get any gap .
